The battery is the heart of your electric mini dumper. Proper charging and storage helps to start each workday reliably and extends the usable life of the battery.

Battery at a glance: Many Delmer models use a 48V 20Ah lead-acid battery. The working time is typically around 8 hours, depending on the model, load, surface and conditions. A normal charging cycle takes about 8 hours for many models.

Proper charging in four steps

1. Charge fully before first use until the display or charging light indicates a full battery. Always follow the manual for your model for the first charge.
2. Only use the Delmer charger that is suitable for the machine. First connect the charging cable to the charging interface of the dumper and then plug the charger into the socket.
3. Recharge the battery promptly after use. Do not leave a lead-acid battery discharged for long periods. For the EMD500 series, the battery must be charged immediately when the voltage drops below 44V.
4. Finished charging? First unplug the charger from the socket and then disconnect the charging cable from the machine.

Not using for a longer time

If the mini dumper is idle for more than 30 days, give the battery extra attention. This prevents deep discharge and unnecessary wear.

1. Fully charge the battery before storage and recharge monthly during longer storage.
2. Turn off the main switch and store the machine flat, clean, dry and well-ventilated.
3. Keep batteries, plugs and cables clean and dry; protect them from direct sunlight, heat and open flames.
4. Check the connections and charge status before use.

The manual is leading: Charging data and storage instructions may vary by model or battery type. Therefore, always use the current manual that belongs to your mini dumper.

Make your mini dumper even more versatile

Depending on the model, tow balls, flat transport carts, extension walls, tipping funnels, dashboard protection, and loading ramps are available. Check each accessory for which models and maximum load it is suitable for.

Compatibility first: EMD500, EMD500S, EMD500HL, EMD500HLS, and EMD3004x4 do not always have the same width or connection. Therefore, never order solely based on a product photo.
